The Murder of Bertha Moore
Our first story takes place in Toledo, Ohio when an african american man, WILLIAM HIBBETT, is arraigned in court for murdering BERTHA MOORE, a white woman, and William names his alleged accomplice, HARRY BROWN. The case takes an interesting turn, as Hibbett is arraigned, but Harry Brown is convicted and awaiting electrocution!
A STORY OF SELF DEFENSE
Our second tale also takes us to Toledo, Ohio, back in 1909. We immediately learn about the murder of HUGH CHRISTY by the hand of FRANK MCHUGH, a fighter who claims Mr. Christy threatened his life causing him to protect himself in self-defense.
Tonight’s cases are lighter in nature to help us all recover from the brutality we just experiences with our TWO - PART episode of the DOUBLE MURDER NEAR WAUSEON of the WILLIAMS Family.
