History
Hi. I’m Kelley Amstutz. I am a certified Genealogist professional, lecturer, business coach, and course creator. I have twenty-one years of research experience, as well as a degree in Business Administration, English and History from The University of Toledo in Ohio. My area of expertise is the United States Midwest, including Ohio. Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin… with a lot of experience in early Society of Friends and Quaker records in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New York and New Jersey.
I love educating others and have found a way to combine my passion for teaching and genealogy in numerous ways. I wrote and teach my bestselling program, THE GENEALOGY ACADEMY, as well as the DNA & GENETIC GENEALOGY program. I have several other mini programs and a 6 program workshop, Finding Your Roots that I teach in-person locally, as well. I write regular tips for The Genealogy Investigator Blog and host the CRIME TRAVEL IN TOLEDO, OHIO PODCAST, A.K.A. THE MURDER RECORD.
I regularly work with my local Oregon-Jerusalem Historical Society to educate genealogy lovers on proper research techniques and tips and tricks, as well as handling the marketing for the society.
I am a member of the Association of Professional Genealogist (APGen). I specialize in U.S. and DNA research, genealogy consulting & coaching. My passion is to help my clients uncover their ancestor’s past and tell their stories!
